We are an independent book publisher specializing in reference
products in print and electronic form focusing on figurative art. We strive to support and encourage all
forms of figurative art by providing artists with genuinely useful reference materials
particularly of the nude human figure. |

About the Authors |

Maureen Johnson
has over
ten years of management experience in a large organization. In addition, she has over five years
experience as a Management Analyst. In that capacity, when managers (from front-line to Director level)
encountered business problems they could not solve- Maureen provided solutions with effects ranging from
local to national in scope. She brings to Live Model Books her creativity, business acumen and
determination to pursue any challenge to a successful conclusion. Maureen has an interest in fine art
and enjoys visiting local and national museums. |

Douglas Johnson
graduated
summa cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics &
Physics. He has five years experience as an engineer and R&D Project Lead. Douglas has always been a
hobbyist woodworker and has recently developed an interest in figurative carving. He brings a very
technical approach to photographing the human figure and works closely with Maureen and the models to
capture their artistic vision in photos. |
